The Local Development Corporation of Crown Heights is a Not-For-Profit 501(c)3 organization that was established in 1987. Its creation was based on the need for an entity to serve as a vehicle for community and program development in Central Brooklyn.
The LDCCH's motto is "helping those least able to help themselves".
With that as its mission, it has initiated numerous programs to ameliorate
the plethora of problems that plague the communities it serves.
Presently, the LDCCH provides a wide array of services to its clientele
among which are the following: housing assitance, loans to minority, and women owned businesses, instructional training in computer technology, social services to low and moderate income families, intiatives for youth development, and the creation of affordable housing for low income
individuals and the elderly.
The primary goal of the LDCCH is to empower, elevate, and enrich the
Central Brooklyn community by strengthening its institution, generating
greater access to capital, developing affordable housing, assisting those
in need with the appropriate social services, expanding access to tech
nology, and fostering the growth of a wholesome and self enriching environment.
The LDCCH strives to deliver its services expeditiously and with the highest level of professionalism, even to the point of exceeding the expectation of the community it serves. Our services are provided
without regard torace, creed, color, ethnicity, religion, sex, or nationality.
